Our client was a Czech manufacturing company in the automotive industry segment, which supplies its products to the countries of the European Union and to selected markets in the Asian countries. It has been successfully operating on the market for over 20 years.
After 20 years of intensive work in the field of product development, the owner and at the same time the executive director decided to sell the company. Unfortunately, it was not possible to transfer the company to his children, who were engaged in other activities and were not interested in running the company or continuing the business tradition.
Our goal was to prepare the company for sale so that the owner would have the opportunity to sell it at the highest possible price and this company was able to function effectively even without his active participation.
The whole process of preparing the company for sale took 6 months under the supervision of the project interim manager, who divided the whole project into 3 phases:
- Analysis of the company in terms of its strengths and weaknesses in the areas of production, trade, marketing, human resources and finance.
- Definition of key areas for necessary changes and elaboration of a change project plan.
- Preparation of an internal communication strategy on how to communicate the entire project, including the necessary changes, to employees, customers and business partners.
All the implementation points above were carried out in accordance with everyday corporate life. The advantage of the project interim manager was that he was not involved in the company relationships or otherwise and could focus on delivering the final state.
The whole project proceeded according to the set schedule by fulfilling the partial and main goals.
